Hey Creed LLC ("Hey Creed," "Company," "we," "our," or "us"), a Texas limited liability company, is the data controller (Verantwortlicher) for the Coach Creed mobile application and related services. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website.

2.1 Personal Information

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Account credentials
  • Profile information (age, fitness goals, experience level)
  • Payment information (processed securely through third-party providers)

2.2 Health and Fitness Data

With your explicit consent, we may collect:

  • Workout history and exercise data
  • Body measurements and weight
  • Apple Health data (heart rate, HRV, sleep, activity)
  • Form analysis data from camera recordings

2.3 Automatically Collected Data

We automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Device information (type, operating system, unique identifiers)
  • Usage data (features used, time spent, interactions)
  • Log data (IP address, browser type, access times)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and personalize our services
  • Generate AI-powered workout recommendations
  • Analyze your form and provide feedback
  • Track your progress and achievements
  • Communicate with you about your account and updates
  • Improve our app and develop new features
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Third-party AI service providers (currently xAI, makers of Grok; we may use additional AI providers in the future) to generate personalized coaching feedback, workout analysis, and training recommendations. The data we send to these providers includes: workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weights), form analysis metrics (joint angles, form scores, movement patterns), fitness goals and preferences, chat messages when using the AI coach, and health/nutrition data if you have connected Apple Health. We do not send your name, email address, photos, videos, or payment information to AI providers. Videos may be stored on our servers for your review but are never shared with AI providers. You are asked for explicit consent before any data is shared with these services.
  • Service providers who help operate our services
  • Analytics partners (usage events, feature adoption — in anonymized or aggregated form where possible)
  • Crash reporting and performance monitoring services (device and error data to improve stability)
  • Legal authorities when required by law

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and data

  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Withdraw consent for health data collection

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

Our services are not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. AI and Machine Learning

9.1 Form Analysis Videos

When you submit videos for form analysis or mobility assessments, we process these videos to provide feedback. We may also retain these videos to:

  • Track your form progression over time and provide personalized coaching insights
  • Improve our AI models and form analysis algorithms
  • Develop new features and enhance existing services

9.2 Training Data for AI Improvement

To continuously improve our AI coaching capabilities, we may use anonymized and de-identified video data, movement patterns, and form analysis results to train and refine our machine learning models. This helps us:

  • Improve form detection accuracy across different body types and exercises
  • Enhance our coaching feedback quality
  • Develop new exercise recognition capabilities

Anonymization: Before using any video data for model training, we remove or obscure personally identifiable information including faces, identifying marks, and background details. The training data cannot be traced back to individual users.

9.3 Third-Party AI Services

Coach Creed uses third-party AI services to power its coaching features. Currently, we use xAI (makers of Grok) to process your fitness data and generate personalized coaching feedback. We may use additional AI service providers in the future.

What we send: When you use AI-powered features (such as real-time coaching, post-workout analysis, training insights, or the AI coach chat), the following data may be sent to the AI provider:

  • Workout data (exercise names, sets, reps, weights, duration, volume)
  • Form analysis metrics (joint angles, form scores, movement velocity, depth measurements)
  • Fitness goals, experience level, and training preferences
  • Chat messages and conversation context when using the AI coach
  • Health and nutrition data (calories, macronutrients) if you have connected Apple Health
  • Progress signals (personal records, training trends, workout streaks)
  • An anonymous session identifier for request continuity

What we do not send to AI providers: Your name, email address, account credentials, payment information, photos, and videos are never transmitted to AI service providers. Videos may be stored on our servers so you can review your form, but they are never shared with third-party AI services. Video-based form analysis (pose detection) is performed entirely on your device using on-device machine learning; only the resulting numerical metrics (angles, scores) are sent to generate coaching feedback. You can delete your videos and personal data at any time from the app's Settings.

Consent: You are asked for explicit consent to share data with third-party AI services during account setup. AI coaching features require this consent to function. You can review xAI's privacy policy at x.ai/legal/privacy-policy.

9.4 Your Choices

You can continue using Coach Creed's form analysis features while opting out of having your anonymized data used for model training. To opt out, contact us at support@coachcreed.ai. Note that opting out does not affect videos already processed, but we will exclude your future submissions from training datasets.

10. Changes to This Policy

Hey Creed LLC may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Hey Creed LLC is a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Texas.
